Access to a comprehensive range of wound care services is provided, including:

• Specialized wound dressings. A variety of specialized wound dressings are used to aid in wound care therapy. Some examples of these treatment options include:
  • Collagen dressings: These nonadhesive, nonocclusive dressings like Integra^® and Oasis^®, are formulated with bovine or porcine collagen.
  • Specialty collagen products: Combined with oxidized regenerated cellulose, these dressings include Promogran^®, Prisma^®.
  • Other wound coverings that are used include hydrogels, hydrocolloids, foam dressings, alginates, composite dressings, specialty absorptive dressings, and anti-microbial silver products.
• Debridement. The process of removing unhealthy tissue from the body. The tissue may be infected, damaged, contaminated or there may be a foreign body in the tissue. There are different types of debridement including:
  • Surgical
  • Autolytic
  • Enzymatic
  • Mechanical
  • Hydrotherapy
• Compression therapy. A simple and effective means of increasing blood flow activity in the limbs through strengthening vein support. It aims to gently apply pressure by wearing specifically designed stockings. These dressings then work to slowly stretch out vein walls and improve overall circulation, which in turn helps eliminate swelling.
• Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT). Hyperbaric oxygen therapy increases the amount of oxygen the blood can carry which stimulates the release of growth factors and stem cells. This improves the healing process and fights infection.
• Prescription growth factors. Growth factors are substances secreted by the body whose function is to stimulate the growth and proliferation of the cells involved in wound healing and inflammation. The use of growth factor increases the number of wound-healing cells, therefore resulting in faster wound healing.
• Engineered skin grafting. An alternative to patients own skin. It can serve as either temporary or permanent wound coverings and promotes new skin growth and stimulates wound healing by introducing living cells that are able to establish a good environment and structural support.
• Edema management. Edema can be the result of medication, surgery or an underlying disease. Severe edema may be treated with drugs that help your body expel excess fluid.
• Non-invasive vascular assessment. A type of exam that uses Doppler ultrasound to evaluate the circulatory system. We can study veins and arteries with this diagnostic ultrasound.
