Summa Health’s Virtual Visit is an easy way to be treated for common conditions. It provides access to board-certified doctors through secure online health portal for many non-emergency illnesses.

Anyone over 18 can create an account. You can also add adult dependents and children to your account. Visits for minor children must be completed by a parent or guardian.
Setting up your account is a quick and easy process. Visit SummaHealth.org/VirtualVisit and click on Start a Visit. You will be guided through step-by-step instructions.
You can complete an online Virtual Visit at any time. Summa Health providers will respond to E-Visits between 7 a.m. - 8 p.m.
If you complete an E-Visit for a general medical visit, Summa Health Primary Care providers will respond within one hour during operating hours. If you complete a general medical visit after hours, you will receive a response the next business day. For dermatology visits, a Summa Health Dermatologist will provide a response within 72 hours.
Each Virtual Visit E-Visit takes about five minutes to complete. The total number of questions you answer will depend on your condition.
No, Virtual Visit does not replace your primary doctor. Virtual Visit should be used when you need immediate care for non-emergent medical issues. It is affordable, convenient alternative to urgent care and ER visits.
Yes, all Virtual Visit doctors can prescribe short-term medication for a wide range of conditions when medically appropriate. Virtual Visit doctors do not prescribe substances controlled by the DEA, non-therapeutic and/or certain other drugs which may be harmful because of their potential abuse.
You can pay for your visit with any major credit card or health savings account (HSA):
*Depending on your employer or insurance, Summa Health Virtual Visit may be provided at a reduced rate. Check with your employer to see if you qualify.
You may submit your receipt to your insurance company, but we cannot guarantee you will be reimbursed.
Medicare patients are welcome to use Summa Health’s Virtual Visit; however, your Virtual Visit is not currently reimbursable.

Yes. You can access your Virtual Visit records at any time through your account.
If you are a Summa Health patient, your Virtual Visit records will be saved as part of your medical record. If you want to share your records with a physician outside of Summa Health, you can print or email your records, or call 330.375.3930 to have us send a copy of your Summa Health records to your provider.
