The Emergency Department is always busy. There is no way of knowing when people will become ill or injured; that is the nature of emergency medicine.
The Emergency Department is staffed to handle both major and minor emergencies at all times. While we make every attempt to see patients in the order in which they arrive, the care being given to critically ill or injured patients may cause delays for others.
