At Summa Health Cancer Institute, we recognize that cancer affects your entire life. It’s not easy. Our goal is to make the difficult journey from cancer diagnosis through cancer treatment and survivorship as seamless as possible. That’s why we offer a number of services to treat your whole body at our Renewal Nook.

Services include:

Wig Salon

Hair loss is often a difficult aspect of cancer treatment. Many women opt to get a wig and alternate its use with scarves and hats. The Stephen A. Comunale Jr. Family Cancer Foundation offers a free wig to cancer patients in partnership with the Jean & Milton Cooper Pavilion. Patients can visit the Wig Salon and choose from a variety of products. Help is available for correct fit, styling tips and proper care of your wig.

Therapy Room

A therapist trained in massage or Reiki can provide a variety of positive effects including:

• Deep relaxation
• Reduced stress
• Improved sleep
• Eased constipation
• Increased alertness and mental clarity
• Reduced anxiety
• Decreased nausea
• Reduced pain

Consult Room

This space provides an esthetically pleasing room for private consultation with any of our providers for a quieter setting to discuss care options, social work issues, family concerns and more. This serene space is ideal for a family that needs to discuss care decisions, a patient that needs time to reconcile with diagnosis or for discussions with outside consultants, such as legal representatives.

We will serve any patient with a cancer diagnosis regardless of where he/she receives treatment.
