Welcome to Foundation Relations, a dedicated area of the Summa Foundation for exploring private funding support through local, regional, state and national foundations and organizations.
As the central, internal resource for private foundation support at Summa Health, we collaborate with Summa clinicians, program and service line leaders, and the executive leadership team to increase philanthropic support that advances our mission to provide the highest quality, compassionate care and to contribute to a healthier community.
Foundation Relations will:
- Research private funding opportunities that best align with approved program and service line goals.
- Strategize on how to best approach a private funding organization.
- Manage and cultivate relationships with local, regional, state and national private foundations.
- Develop proposals matching approved program and service line needs with funder interests.
- Collaborate with internal program leads to ensure proposals outline clinically accurate details to advance programs and services.
- Coordinate stewardship activities and assist with fulfilling reporting requirements.
Foundation Relations will not:
- Secure government funding (research or programmatic)
- Approach individual donors
