Summa Health‘s Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is a step below inpatient hospitalization and can be used as an alternative to inpatient treatment.
Our PHP is appropriate for patients with a wide range of mental health conditions. It provides patients with four to six hours of intensive structured outpatient psychiatry services daily (Monday through Friday) as an alternative to inpatient psychiatric care.
The program uses multiple mental health interventions through individual and group therapy that address the individualized mental health needs of the patient. Participants must commit to 20+ hours of treatment, sometimes more, each week.
