Summa Health Hospice and Summa Health Palliative staff have a history of excellence in providing quality care and comfort. Our staff is more than just a team of nurses, we staff a group of experts that can provide a wide range of services including spiritual chaplains, bereavement counselors, and more.

Summa Health Palliative and Summa Health Hospice Staff Information

  • Physicians who are board-certified in hospice and palliative medicine
  • Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Nurses (CHPNs) and nurse practitioners who provide specialized care to patients with advanced conditions or those requiring end-of-life care
  • A clinical psychologist to address mental health needs
  • Social workers to help patients and their families connect with resources within the community
  • Chaplains to address the spiritual needs of patients and their families
  • Bereavement counselors who provide assistance and support to patients’ families for 13 months following the death of their loved one
  • Complimentary services including massage and music therapy directed at reducing pain and promoting relaxation
