Derek Vanhille, MD obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Utah and attended medical school at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. He completed an Otolaryngology or Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. While in Wisconsin, Dr. Vanhille trained at the largest pediatric hospital in the state and learned from multiple fellowship-trained physicians in all subspecialty areas of ENT. Dr. Vanhille is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He has experience in pediatric ENT care, ear infections, ear tubes, ear pain, hearing loss, Eustachian tube dysfunction, ear drum repair, tonsillitis, tonsillectomy, voice problems, trouble swallowing, snoring, nasal congestion, septoplasty, rhinoplasty, sinus infections, sinus surgery, nasal polypectomy, thyroid surgery, parathyroid surgery, branchial cleft cyst, salivary gland issues, and neck masses.

Dr. Vanhille chose to become a physician because he enjoys helping his patients. He likes teaching patients about the complexities of the body and helping them through the healing process. He chose to specialize in ENT because it offers variety and the ability to provide care for patients in both the clinic setting and in the operating room. Dr. Vanhille gets satisfaction from helping patients improve their quality of life by treating them for their various ENT concerns.

When he is not taking care of patients, Dr. Vanhille enjoys running, hiking, boating, skiing, and being outside. He loves spending time with his family and serving in his church and community.
