Bio	Karl Weenig, MD obtained a Bachelor of Science in zoology at Brigham Young University and a Doctor of Medicine at the University of Utah School of Medicine. As part of his training, Dr. Weenig completed a family medicine residency at the Utah Valley Family Medicine Clinic and a fellowship at the University of Alabama. He also served as a chair for the Sports Medicine Advisory Committee for the Utah High School Athletic Association. He is board-certified with the American Board of Family Medicine and specializes in sports medicine and family medicine. Dr. Weenig decided to pursue a career in medicine while growing up under good physician mentors. He has always wanted to help people with serious medical problems heal and enjoy life. In addition to his mentorship, he had an interest in human biology and loved to learn how the human body works. Dr. Weenig strives to be an empathetic and active listener so that he can more effectively help each patient. He loves to help people get back to full function while giving them cost-effective solutions to their health problems. When he is not taking care of patients, Dr. Weenig enjoys spending time with his family, volunteering with high school athletic programs, working with young athletes, and serving in scouting, church, and humanitarian efforts.

I have always had a positive experience with Dr. Weenig & his entire staff.

They were able to get me in quickly, I called and scheduled an appointment for the next day. Dr. Weenig knows my history with playing & coaching baseball & softball, as well as the wear & tear that puts on my body. I have had cortisone injections before. He has always kept me informed about his concerns with the frequency of my injections as well as making sure that I don’t over do it because I feel better after the injections. Dr. Weenig really does a good job of protecting me as a patient, he always has my best interest in mind when making decisions with me. I would not hesitate one bit in recommending anyone going to see him! His staff always makes you feel like you are their most important patient of the day! All I can say about Dr. Weenig is "wow"! Saw him last week after a severe knee injury and my wife and I both feel so fortunate to have found him (online based on reviews). He has been spot on with his diagnosis, recommendations, dealing with complications, and explaining what is next and why. Great Dr and very fine man. He's a 10 star doctor in my book.
