Ryan Taylor, MD, MPH has always been fascinated by the field of medicine. From an early age, Dr. Taylor decided to pursue a career in medicine and to this day he continues to enjoy the challenge, satisfaction and excitement it brings.

Dr. Taylor received his undergraduate degree in public health from Utah State University and went on to receive his master’s in public health and his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Utah. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency training at University of California, Davis, after which he completed two fellowships. First, a sports medicine fellowship in Los Angeles, followed by a second fellowship in complex shoulder and elbow reconstructive surgery in San Francisco. Dr. Taylor is board certified with the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.

While working on his undergraduate degree and a master’s degree, Dr. Taylor played football for Utah State University and University of Utah. Dr. Taylor’s experience as a former athlete inspired him to pursue a career where he could help patients with musculoskeletal and sports-related injury and disease.

I have the greatest job in the world and I am committed to giving every patient my best effort as their doctor. I look forward to getting to know each individual as a patient and as a person. I know first-hand what it feels like to experience the disappointment and frustration of injury. My goal as a provider is to get patients back to the activities they enjoy most, whether it is on the playing field, back to work, or day-to-day activities at home.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Taylor enjoys spending time with his wife and four children and loves being in the outdoors with hobbies that include skiing, cycling, running, hiking and fishing. Dr. Taylor also enjoys following his favorite sports teams, traveling and being involved in his church and community.
