While studying medicine, Morgan Bateman, FNP-C, found that it was the perfect fusion between two of her passions—health science and serving others. Morgan began her journey in the medical world as an ER nurse and then became a nurse practitioner as she advanced in her career. Her experiences as an ER nurse, such as being able to see and treat a variety of conditions daily, still benefit her in her career today.

As a certified family nurse practitioner, Morgan continually appreciates the variety that comes along with her job. Morgan delights in building relationships with her patients and working together as a team to empower them to live healthy lifestyles and manage their chronic conditions.

Morgan’s parents raised her on the largest dairy farm in Utah. While growing up on a farm, she learned that in some agricultural areas people don’t have access to healthcare. Morgan wants to change this and make healthcare more widely accessible to those who live in rural communities. She also seeks opportunities to be involved with education and care for underserved populations.

As a member of the Shot@Life campaign, Morgan advocates for immunizations for children in third-world countries. Morgan also encourages the involvement of the U.S. in global health funding.

She was selected to represent the state of Utah in 2018 to lobby our representatives in Washington D.C. to support U.S. involvement in global health funding, particularly third-world countries.

Morgan visits her family on the farm as often as possible. In her free time, she enjoys traveling (she’s traveled to 13 countries and counting), hiking, reading, cooking and watching sports.
