Meet Hayley

Hayley suffered from severe endometriosis. She wasn't living her best quality of life. In fact, she was in pain about 90% of the time.

Endometriosis is typically a hereditary chronic illness, affecting one in 10 females. Hayley started having symptoms when she was 13 years old and needed multiple surgeries when she was in her 20s. To make matters worse, other doctors told her there was nothing they could do. Or that the pain was all in her head.

"It's frustrating because there's not a lot of awareness to this illness.”

Hayley started to regain hope again when she was referred to Summa Health and Dr. Megan Cesta.

"The moment I walked into the office, I had a really good feeling about everything. Dr. Cesta and the nurse were immediately kind and proactive about everything that needed to be done. Dr. Cesta wanted to help me, and that was the biggest thing."

Dr. Cesta worked with Dr. Kellen Welch to remove the lesions.

"I've had a lot of surgeries, and I've never had an experience like the one I had with them. We talked about everything, all the way to post surgery."

Now Hayley says her life is 100% different.

"This is the first year I haven't had pain since I was in my teens. I'm a lot more active. I am spending a lot more time with friends and family. I would never have been able to do those things before."

Now her mantra is "Never waste another day."

When people ask her, "How are you today?" she always says, "It's the best day of my life."

"It's the best day of my life. Every day."
