Meet Frank
Frank is a chauffeur, a snazzy dresser, a husband, a father, a grandfather, and a great-grandfather. He is also a survivor of prostate cancer – because Summa Health caught it just in time.
Like many men, Frank was reluctant to see a doctor on a regular basis. "At the time of my diagnosis, I didn't even have a primary care physician.” But when some routine bloodwork indicated a possible problem, he made an appointment with Dr. Joseph Dankoff, a board-certified urologist at Summa Health. And it is a good thing he did. Even though Frank wasn’t experiencing cancer symptoms at the time, he was diagnosed with and treated for stage four prostate cancer.
"Dr. Dankoff made the diagnosis and explained everything. He put me at ease and put my wife and children at ease." Dr. Dankoff referred Frank to Dr. Joseph Nething, a board-certified urologic surgeon who specializes in minimally invasive and robotic surgery. After the surgery, Summa Health created a plan for Frank's ongoing prostate health.
