This program offers psychiatric and addiction medicine consultations to all hospital inpatient units at our Akron and Barberton Campuses. Our Consultation and Liaison treatment team includes psychiatrists, psychologists and addiction medicine physicians. These professionals assess the needs of each inpatient and provide recommendations to their medical treatment providers. 

 

Patients may need short-term supportive services due to an acute stress reaction to their illness or hospitalization. They may also be experiencing psychiatric difficulties related to a medical problem that requires coordinated psychiatric and medical treatment or referral to other services upon discharge.
