The Boniface DeRoo Award for Philanthropy is the highest philanthropic honor presented by Summa Health. This award pays tribute to extraordinary philanthropists who embody the vision and generosity of the health system's first benefactor, Boniface DeRoo, a quiet blacksmith who bequeathed his entire estate so everyone would have a place to go for healing.
