For nearly 130 years, Summa Health has delivered on its promise of providing high-quality care to all those in need, regardless of their ability to pay. Today, we continue to build on that legacy with the construction of the Juve Family Behavioral Health Pavilion, a new, 60-bed inpatient and outpatient facility on the Akron Campus opening in January 2023. The Juve Family Behavioral Health Pavilion is the capstone of our commitment to caring for the whole you.

Seventh Floor

Our inpatient rooms are private and better designed for patients, staff and families. Each room will be light-filled and promote healing. Social rooms and lounge areas provide space for family and friends to visit outside patient rooms.

Sixth Floor

Our inpatient rooms are private and better designed for patients, staff and families. Each room will be light-filled and promote healing. Social rooms and lounge areas provide space for family and friends to visit outside patient rooms.

Fifth Floor

Our inpatient rooms are private and better designed for patients, staff and families. Each room will be light-filled and promote healing. Social rooms and lounge areas provide space for family and friends to visit outside patient rooms.

Fourth Floor

This floor is dedicated to our geriatric patients with behavioral health needs. The rooms on this floor provide a healing environment. Welcoming reception areas provide peaceful, light-filled spaces for family and friends to visit outside patient rooms.

Third Floor

The third floor is mechanical and will not have public access.

Second Floor

Our outpatient offices for psychiatry, psychology and the Traumatic Stress Center will be located on this floor. Inpatient check-in also will be on this floor. Patients and visitors will have convenient access to the parking deck and a bridge to the main hospital.

Dr. Joseph D. Varley Conference Center: A resource for community members and Summa Health employees for presentations, meetings, training and more.

Heritage Center: Preserves the history — specifically of Alcoholics Anonymous — that now is housed in the chapel at St. Thomas.

Reflection Center: A non-denominational chapel with a modern look for meditation, prayer and reflection.

The ground floor also will feature grab-and-go eating and have access to a beautiful outdoor garden. Our partial hospitalization program and intensive outpatient programs also will be located on this floor.

The income generated from the principal of an endowed chair supports the chair holder’s research, education and other key endeavors, ensuring the continued advancement of his or her field.
