Summa Health Barberton Campus
Transformation is occurring throughout the entire Summa Health System. The new patient tower on our Akron Campus is the most visible sign of these changes and advancements, but in Barberton much is happening as well.
Recently, the Summa Barberton Campus remodeled its main entrance, creating a warmer, more inviting welcome for our patients, visitors and staff. In addition, over the past couple of years the Summa Barberton Campus has seen several clinical improvements such as:
- An easy-to-access Imaging and Diagnostic Center that provides convenient, state-of-the-art testing
- Right-sized and modernized operating rooms and support spaces
- A complete renovation of the existing cardiac catheterization labs, including installing all new, state-of-the-art, space-saving equipment, and creating a more flexible area to better accommodate additional patients and different procedures
- Updates to the Obstetrics Unit, with new flooring, brighter (and safer) lighting and a new nurses’ station module that will provide a larger work area for staff
- Updated endoscopy suites
