Baby Care Class

Get hands-on training in newborn care. Practice diapering, dressing and swaddling baby dolls. Topics covered include newborn characteristics and procedures; infant nutrition; signs/symptoms of illness, crying and how to sooth your baby; and basic car seat safety. Great class for mother and father or partner to fill comfortable caring for the baby. 

We recommend this class be taken four to ten weeks prior to your due date.

Fee: $15.00 per couple

Summa Health monitors its programs in conjunction with the CDC recommendations to keep our community and patients safe and healthy. With the Community Level as Medium, participants are not mandated to wear a mask. 

Individuals who have pre-existing conditions like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, the elderly, pregnancy, and immunocompromised status, etc., and individuals who are unvaccinated or not up to date with vaccines places one at greater risk of acquiring/transmitting the disease. We recommend masking and social distancing with any event.

If you have any of the following symptoms, you will not be permitted to come:

• Fever
• Cough
• Shortness of breath
• Difficulty breathing
• Chills
• Headache
• Sore throat
• Loss of taste or smell

Cancellation Policy

Please notify us at least one business days prior to the course regarding schedule changes.

A $10 processing fee will be incurred for cancellations made less than one business days prior to class and will be deducted from any refund amount due. Failure to attend the class will forfeit the class fee.
