APLUs celebrates Pride Month

In June 2022, we celebrated Pride Month in a variety of ways, including our 2nd annual Pride Summit. Approximately 80 participants joined either in person or virtually to discuss a variety of topics, including unconscious bias, mental health disparities in the LGBTQ+ community, law and policy affecting healthcare in the LGBTQ+ community, the importance of pronouns and more. We also had the opportunity to hear from two transgender patients as they provided insight into their journeys and how the Summa Pride Clinic has impacted their lives for the better.
