A Commitment to Community Investment

With the opening of the Williams Tower on its Akron Campus, Summa Health is reinvesting in the community. The tower marks the first phase of a $350 million transformation now in progress at Summa Health. More than $220 million of this total is being spent during the first phase of the campaign, with the tower being the landmark investment, but with other major outlays as well, including the $22 million that is being used on improvements throughout Summa's Barberton Campus.

During its peak construction period, the Williams Tower housed nearly 250 skilled laborers who worked daily to construct the beautiful new seven-story hospital. The investment into our local economy was nearly $10 million per month.

Because of the Williams Tower, 100 new jobs were available to Summa Health employees.

Summa Health, now more than 125 years old, is committed to serving our community for the next 125 years. These investments in our facilities are a testament to that fact.
