1-Day Marathon Childbirth Class

This one-day class is designed for couples who want to receive basic information about the birth experience delivered in a single session. It is recommended that expectant parents take this class six to ten weeks before their baby's due date.

• Stages of labor
• Comfort measures, epidurals, pain control
• Breathing & relaxation
• Labor positions
• Cesarean birth
• What can my partner do
• Delivery of baby
• Postpartum

Breaks are offered throughout the day and lunch is provided.  Feel free to bring any snacks or drinks. If you have any dietary concerns call 234.312.5194.  There is no tour with this class. Please call and schedule an online live tour.

Summa is daily looking at our programs in conjunction with the CDC and all the recommendations to keep our community and patients safe and healthy.  

With the Community Level as Moderate, participants are not mandated to wear a mask.  We want you to know that:

Individuals who have pre-existing conditions like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, the elderly, pregnancy, and immunocompromised status, etc., and individuals who are unvaccinated or not up to date with vaccines places one at greater risk of acquiring/transmitting the disease. We recommend masking and social distancing with any event.  

Anyone with any of the following symptoms are not permitted to come:

• Fever
• Cough
• Shortness of Breath
• Difficulty Breathing
• Chills
• Headache
• Sore throat
• Loss of taste or smell

 Attendees should bring with them to class:

• Two pillows
• One blanket

Only one name per couple needs to register.

Cancellation Policy:

All registrations are subject to the following policy:  Please notify us at least one business day prior to the course regarding schedule changes. A $10 processing fee will be incurred for cancellations made less than one business days prior to class and will be deducted from any refund amount due. Failure to attend the class will forfeit the class fee.
